Please join us for a Demos event on How to be Good: Developing character in young people.

Are today's younger generation truly in moral crisis? Does the state have a role in developing values in children and young people? And should families, schools, and communities be doing more to develop 'character' and values in young people? Tanya Byron, Judy Dunn, Emma-Jane Cross, and Richard Reeves will debate these questions in a discussion chaired by Gaby Hinsliff.

This event marks the launch of Demos' new Capabilities Programme, which will explore the skills, development and learning of children and young people in Britain today - and particularly how public policy can best support schools, families, and communities in developing the set of ‘character traits’ vital to social and professional success.

RSVP via the link below if you would like to attend. Refreshments will be provided. Contact events@demos.co.uk or 0207 367 6333 for additional information or to inform us of any access needs.

The Capabilities Programme is generously supported by our lead partner, Action for Children, and partners Creative Partnerships, the Helen Hamlyn Trust and YMCA England.
